SingTel owned IT services provider, Alphawest Services, has won a deal to provide Victoria's largest regional passenger transport operator, V/Line, a range of IT managed services across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
V/Line operates over 1,248 rail services across 81 railway stations and 592 coach services every week across regional Victoria, while having a requirement to operate 96% of services as scheduled.
Alphawest will provide V/Line with continuous 24x7 monitoring and management of its core IT infrastructure, full service desk facilities, daily on-site support personnel, desk-side services, backup and disaster recovery services – a perfect fit with its established best practice methodologies and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Alphawest’s Chief Executive Officer, Garry Henley said, “Being selected by V/Line is another example of how our innovation and flexible approach is delivering real business value to the Victorian Government, its agencies and other clients Australia-wide.
“Following recent Managed Services wins, this selection by V/Line confirms our approach has the breadth of technical support capabilities and commercial flexibility to support discerning clients.”
The multi-year deal with V/Line follows a win with fellow Victorian transport service provider Connex Melbourne, whereby Alphawest will deliver a range of IT Services within a similar operational environment.
