IT services provider LogicaCMG has teamed up with information capture developer DICOM Group to win a five-year agreement with the Queensland State Government to provide information capture across more than 30 government departments and agencies.
DICOM's Ascent Capture has been chosen as the standard application for information capture as part of the Queensland State Government's electronic Document and Records Management System (eDRMS) strategy. The system collects paper and e-documents and forms and transforms them into retrievable information that can be delivered into an organisation's business applications and databases.
The information capture solution will be deployed for Queensland's government departments as well as centralised support functions, including finance, human resources, technology, property and facilities management. Ascent Capture will also look to deploy to a number of Shared Service Providers (SSP) where the captured data is used for further processing such as purchase order and invoice processing.
Colin Holgate, CEO of LogicaCMG in Australia, said: 'This agreement further demonstrates our capability of delivering best-of-breed solutions to our government and enterprise customers and forms part of our ongoing relationship with the Queensland government to support their eDRMS initiatives.'
Michael Cawsey, managing director of DICOM Australia said: 'This agreement clearly positions the DICOM Group as a major player in providing strategic Shared Service Provider applications. In working with global solution providers such as LogicaCMG, coupled with our local expertise, we are ideally placed to provide enterprise-wide information capture solutions."
Think again. Most businesses only have PART of a DR plan - and this spells business disaster in the event of an IT disaster.
