Storage vendor Network Appliance and IT services provider Volante (ASX:VGL) have announced an agreement to provide NetApp storage and data management technology to the Australian market.

Under the agreement, Volante will integrate NetApp’s unified storage technology with infrastructure solutions and services from its existing vendor and professional services portfolio. Volante and NetApp plan to deliver a complete enterprise storage solution offering continuous data protection, remote edge-to-core replication, data security, backup acceleration and data recovery.

“Our partnership with NetApp complements our total enterprise storage solution offerings by providing best of breed storage technologies that are compliant with both Federal Government, State Government and Corporate archive legislation. We also provide the means for our clients to enhance their DR/BC capabilities through the inherent replication and data migration facilities provided by NetApp," said Joff Pearce, Storage Practice Manager for Volante.
