RailCorp has extended its managed services contract with Fujitsu.
RailCorp's desktop support, service desk, server management and data centre operations have been outsourced to Fujitsu for the last three years, and the companies have now extended the relationship for a further two years.

RailCorp is the state-owned corporation that provides metropolitan and regional passenger rail services in New South Wales.

Rod Vawdrey, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand's CEO said "We will ensure the ongoing delivery of leading services and offerings to drive and manage innovation into all aspects of information communications technology at RailCorp.

The arrangements have delivered several benefits to RailCorp, including lower costs, improved service levels, and enhanced security.

"Through outsourcing to Fujitsu, RailCorp has been able to focus on their core business processes to enhance the service delivery processes of RailCorp ICT," said Joel O’Halloran, group executive director, managed services at Fujitsu.

"Fujitsu has ensured that RailCorp's ICT infrastructure has been working to maximum efficiency by providing specialist resources, as well as increased levels of service to lower the cost of service delivery," he added.
