NSW school to implement Meru LAN

IT Industry - Deals

The Queenwood School for Girls in the Sydney suburb of Mosman has chosen Meru Networks' 802.11n wireless local area network (LAN) to be implemented in its senior school campus.

Queenwood is to implement the solution – comprising 18 x 802.11 a/b/g/n access points – in term four this year, including Meru Networks' controller and ceiling mount antennas for the access points, which the school says “provides security and aesthetic benefits.”

The solution was ordered through Wavelink Communications' channel partner, ASI Solutions, and Wavelink director, Jonathan Ordman, said, "this deal further cements Meru Networks' position as a leader in 802.11n wireless LAN.”

Ordman said the solution would provide students at Queenwood "with the very best in wireless access to enhance their learning experience," and he said the school, which was regarded as a leader in technology adoption in education, was planning to extend the solution to its other campuses in the future.
