IP telephony integrator NSC has won a contract with office equipment distributor, Danka, to upgrade the communications infrastructure of its six offices around Australia.
Danka will invest more than $500,000 into the communications network with the installation of Avaya IP Telephony technology, 370 digital handsets, Avaya call centre software and larger WAN bandwidth. Danka claims the deployment will save 30% on communications expenses while providing a platform for improved customer service. The project will be rolled out over the next 60 days.
"We are currently using a phone system that is 12 to 18 years old and efficiently transferring calls between our offices is a real challenge," said Steve Farrimond, South Australian sales manager, Danka.
"Call centre supervisors have been chaffing at the bit as the deployment will help them manage and train their call centre agents as well as provide centralised reporting. It will also more effectively monitor call queues to prevent timeframe blowouts while managing inbound call trends.
"NSC Enterprise Solutions was chosen because of its nation-wide reach, which has synergies with Danka."
"NSC can manage the whole operation from understanding the business problems and designing a suitable solution through to implementing the deployment and conducting ongoing maintenance," said Craig Neil, NSC founder and chairman.
