NetSuite into fast foods with SaaS rollout

IT Industry - Deals

Cloud computing vendor, NetSuite, is rolling out its SaaS ERP software solution to hundreds of fast food outlets across the United States and Asia in a contract with Filipino company, Jollibee, as it undergoes rapid worldwide expansion of its chain of fast-food stores.

Under the contract with Jollibee, which operates one of the world’s largest fast-food chains, NetSuite is progressively deploying its SaaS OneWorld software suite throughout the retail food giant’s operation following the success of a Vietnamese pilot program.

Jollibee CFO Ysmael Baysa said the company plans to roll out NetSuite OneWorld across its Chinese operation before the end of the year, followed by Taiwan, the United States and other Asian markets.

Baysa said the NetSuite solution gives Jollibee a fast and cost-effective way to automate reporting, perform real-time analytics, conduct audit trail analysis, operate an international supply chain, consolidate international financials, and enforce corporate governance standards in its subsidiaries and divisions in the US and in emerging markets such as Vietnam and China.

According to Baysa, Jollibee’s five subsidiaries in Vietnam are now able to manage day-to-day business operations with a single, consolidated view.

“This initial implementation went live within two months. Going forward, because of the flexibility and speed to implementation features, NetSuite OneWorld can enable Jollibee to take a multi-tiered approach in China,” Baysa said, adding that  the company currently planned to deploy the solution in 30 subsidiaries at the provincial level, giving its Chinese division a consolidated view of business operations across 190 stores.
