“The one-year agreement, in which iSOFT will install its x-HIS hospital information system in a new 150-bed location, is worth $199,000 in additional license fees and $170,000 in maintenance and support.

“Guadalajara Hospital, which is undergoing a major modernisation programme, in 2007 selected iSOFT’s x-HIS to improve management and patient services in a three-year contract.”

Ramas said iSOFT’s other customers in the region include the Real San Jose Hospital at Guadalajara, Nuevo Leon Secretary of Healthcare, Hospital Civil de Guadalajara OPD, and the Women and Children’s Hospital at Monterrey.

In March this year, Ramas said iSOFT had also won its first contract in Honduras to develop a central register of information for government departments to manage health services and improve preventative measures.
