Australian listed health IT company, iSOFT has opened a new office in Mexico, as it continues to win new contracts and expand its global presence in major markets around the world.
iSOFT managing director for Southern Europe and
Latin America, Guillermo Ramas, said today the Mexico office was the
company’s 18th worldwide, and continued a global market strategy of
strengthening its presence in each local market.
“There is huge opportunity for iSOFT in Mexico and Latin America
generally as we have shown with six major contracts in the region.
“Having a local presence is an important step in our strategy of
continued expansion, and to take our know-how and experience to new
markets where significant opportunities exist to improve the health
services in both public and private sectors.
“It also meets our objective of providing local knowledge and expertise, local support and services
tailored to local needs.”
In Mexico, Ramas said iSOFT was supporting further expansion at
Guadalajara Hospital, the nation’s biggest, in a contract worth
$376,000.
