iSOFT has secured a four-year, $5.9 million deal to provide support and maintenance services for Spain’s Castilla la Mancha Healthcare Service (SESCAM).
Under the agreement, Australia's largest listed
health information technology company has renewed a contract to deliver
services, training and maintenance of Turriano, a regional primary care
solution developed by iSOFT and based on its e-SIAP solution.
iSOFT managing director for Southern Europe and Latin America,
Guillermo Ramas, says Turriano is being referenced in other countries
such as Portugal and Latin America.
“It is a privilege for iSOFT to help SESCAM offer a quality healthcare
service to its citizens with the objective of having a complete primary
care medical record.”
Ramas says Turriano links around 200 care centres and more than 1,100
GP surgeries that make up the primary healthcare network across the
SESCAM region.
“About 14,000 family doctors, nurses and other clinical professionals
use the software to manage 113,000 appointments and 150,000
prescriptions daily to improve the quality of healthcare services for
the region’s more than 2 million patients.”
