Other contract wins cited by Barkla include the
Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) extending its 12-year
outsourcing relationship with the company by an additional five years,
and also appointing Unisys as its multisourcing services integrator.
Barkla also announced the successful transition
of IT support services for the Australian Department of Defence,
following a contract win in February last year.
Unisys also secured two new state government contracts, one five-year
deal with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads to
provide facial image processing technology and services for the new
state’s smartcard driver licence, and another with the NSW Police Force
to implement and provide maintenance services, over three-years, for an
end-to-end digital imagery management system.
Barkla also referred to other contracts including a five year renewal
with the Board of Airline Representatives Australia (BARA) and its
member international airlines operating to and from Australia, to
continue to provide a baggage reconciliation system, and extension of
its license agreement with Cathay Pacific in May for provision of its
passenger service system and logistics management system solutions
through to 2012.
