ISOFT announced others deals including one in New South Wales, where Balance! Healthcare has selected the company’s Monet primary care solution for its Blue Mountains and Cairns GP Super Clinics, which Cohen says gives iSOFT an important foothold in COAG’s GP clinic program, which is planning 31 Super Clinics across Australia. He says Monet was selected as the best option for supporting a multi-disciplinary team-based approach and enabling best-practice models of care, with the initial $250,000 contract for 80 users in the two clinics.

In Tasmania, Cohen announced the state-wide roll-out of iSOFT’s i.PM solution which will be extended to community care in a five-year licensing and support agreement worth $900,000 initially.

Cohen said the solution was currently being installed at the state’s public hospitals under a February 2008 contract, and iSOFT would now provide a common record for all inpatient, outpatient and community care.

“Having timely patient information available across the state will improve care and efficiency, reduce risk, avoid duplication, and cut the time staff spend collecting patient information,” Cohen claimed.

iSOFT also announced service and enhancement deals secured in Tasmania and Victoria worth about $1 million.
