The Queensland Public Trustee has entrusted management of its electronic records to Hewlett-Packard in the first deal signed under the state government’s new tender system established earlier this year.
HP has sealed a contract with the Public Trustee
to provide its HP Trim electronic records management software to 500
users under the terms of a whole-of-government electronic document
records management systems (eDRMS) tender.
HP was one of three vendors selected to provide software to Queensland
under the contract, which the company claims will deliver a number of
key benefits to the Public Trust Office, including improved knowledge
and information sharing leading to improved decision making, ability to
implement basic workflow processes, enhanced security controls,
including user and system access controls, improved access to
information and reduction of information duplication.
According to HP, the Public Trust Office has selected various products
from the TRIM portfolio to support compliance with the Public Records
Act 2002 and the Information Standard 40 (IS40).
Queensland’s Public Trustee is the largest public trustee in Australia with more than 15 offices throughout regional Queensland.
