Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Austar has chosen Total Communications Infrastructure Ltd (TCI) to deploy its planned wireless broadband network across regional Australia, announced last month.
TCI, which specialises in project managing and establishing communications infrastructure, will work with Austar on its plans to have wireless broadband services available to around 750,000 people in regional Australia by the end of 2007.
TCI is an Australian public company employing more than 150 staff nationally that provides its clients with turnkey installations from small cellular repeater sites through to complex satellite earth stations.
It is well experienced in wireless broadband rollout having been contracted to rollout Personal Broadband Australia's iBurst technology. The company's founder, Jim Cooney, became a major investor in Personal Broadband and subsequently its managing director. He is no longer a director of TCI.
TCI has also worked installing cellular base stations for Optus and Vodafone.
