IT services provider Unisys has signed a series of agreements with Microsoft, making the company the first systems integrator selling and deploying Microsoft's ERP suite Axapta worldwide.
According to Unisys, the company has developed vertical solutions based on Microsoft Axapta for automotive suppliers, and manufacturers of industrial products and consumer packaged goods.
“Being the first company to deploy Microsoft Axapta around the world demonstrates our commitment to Microsoft, which we recently outlined as part of our corporate strategy,” said Dino Gelmetti, managing partner, enterprise solutions practice, Unisys Asia Pacific. “These agreements are built on our global systems integration and consulting expertise. Using our 3D Visible Enterprise methodology, we can give our clients visibility into their business processes, and work with them to change them to maximize their returns by deploying Axapta solutions.
“We already see a number of opportunities for Axapta here in Australia. We’re talking with a number of companies about how Axapta will deliver effective ERP solutions at a fraction of the cost of competitors’ alternatives.”
“This partnership offers a platform from which Unisys and Microsoft can continue to grow and meet the needs of our mutual customers globally and locally,” said Flemming Beisner, Business Group Director, Microsoft Business Solutions, Microsoft Australia. “The Unisys commitment to its clients’ needs, through providing specialised services and tailored support around the world, is demonstrated by its very early adoption of the Microsoft Axapta platform as a key business tool for achieving efficiency.”
