IT Industry - Deals

Business intelligence sogftware vendor, Cognos, has won a deal with PMI Mortgage Insurance Ltd, which has standardised on Cognos Planning software for planning and budgeting.

PMI Australia is one of the largest mortgage insurers in Australia and New Zealand.

'The implementation of Cognos Planning provides us with an efficient, budgeting solution that supplies greater alignment for PMI internationally' said Michael Cuzic, financial controller at PMI.

'We chose Cognos primarily for its ease of use, which enables us to have the technical expertise required to run and maintain the system in-house rather than through external consultants.'

PMI is using Cognos's partner Data Agility to implement the solution and build models and Cognos to provide additional solution design and architectural experience and quality assurance services. PMI's California-based headquarters also uses Cognos Planning, providing the Australian team with an internal reference site.
