LogicaCMG to deliver RedDot CMS to QLD Govt

IT Industry - Deals

IT services provider LogicaCMG has won a contract to supply RedDot Solutions’ web content management solution for the Queensland State Government.

The Queensland State Government has adopted a shared services business model, as part of its whole of government approach to the delivery of business services.  The strategy is designed to provide a common infrastructure for IT service delivery and an improvement of information management processes.

RedDot Solutions, a subsidiary of enterprise content management provider Hummingbird Limited, will be used to create and manage web content for the QLD Government’s internal and external stakeholders.

RedDot software provides tools for non-technical users to create, update and manage content.

The Government will use RedDot Solutions’ technology to personalise and drive web content according to the needs and preferences of various audience groups.

The bew software will integrate with the State Government’s electronic Document Records Management System (eDRMS), in order to comply with regulatory requirements for records management.  LogicaCMG and Hummingbird won the contract to supply eDRMS to the Queensland State Government in April 2005.

“The RedDot content management solution and LiveServer are a natural fit for the Queensland State Government’s stringent web content and management requirements including ease-of-use, personalisation, rapid time to deploy and out of the box integration with Hummingbird Enterprise,” said Niels Metger, CEO of RedDot Solutions.

“LogicaCMG  has  extensive experience in the delivery of content management solutions to large  enterprises and government  agencies,” said Colin Holgate, CEO, LogicaCMG in Australia. “The Queensland State Government’s whole of government approach  to IT service delivery is a best practices approach, which is designed to provide a reduced total cost of ownership, streamlined  processes  spanning  multiple  agencies and improved access to information.”
