Australian insurance company, Mondial Assistance, says its selection of a Sterling Commerce solution will streamline revenue collection and reporting processes across its business.
Mondial is to deploy Sterling Integrator
(formally Gentran Integration Suite) which the company says follows
rapid growth achieved over the past five years, leading to the need to
scale for its future systems requirements.
According to Will Riley, BI Manager, information services at Mondial,
the company was seeking a solution to reduce costs to new clients and
improve the efficiency of internal processes through the deployment of
a reliable, automated solution.
“Our objectives included finding a vendor with a strategic fit for our
future requirements and a solution which would build a best practice
approach to enterprise application integration.
“We also wanted to adopt an IT solution that could integrate rapidly
rather than require extensive customisation. Sterling Commerce met all
these requirements while Sterling Integrator had the additional benefit
of robust, inherent security.”
Riley says Sterling Commerce won the five-way pitch based on its
ability to execute successful local deployments, adherence to industry
standards and Sterling Integrator’s ease of implementation.
“Other key factors included the high level of integration within the
Sterling Integrator toolset itself and the product’s overall alignment
with Mondial Assistance’s system requirements.
According to Riley, once fully deployed later this year, the Sterling
solution will consolidate Mondial’s business-to-business processes in
one platform, and the single platform will support automated end-to-end
data collection to enable seamless revenue collection and disbursement
activities for clients and partners.
