Former Kaz executives launch new competitor

IT Industry - Deals

A group of former Kaz Group executives have set up Artis Group to deliver "premium, high quality IT services to corporate and government clients."

They claim that Artis has been formed to "deliver on a responsive and can-do service ethic which has diminished in recent years due to several mergers and acquisitions of established Australian IT vendors."

The CEO and founder of Artis, Roger Davies, lead the NSW region of Aspect Computing before joining Kaz. The other key Artis executives will be Peter Giudes as director of service delivery, and Shehan Wijetilaka as director of sales. Until recently, this executive team had worked together for more than eight years in senior roles at KAZ and Aspect Computing, delivering the same services and solutions that Artis is now delivering.

Prior to joining Artis Giudes was the NSW head of professional services at KAZ. He has also worked for Aspect Computing, Commonwealth Bank, NRMA and GIO.  Wijetilaka was head of services sales for KAZ in the NSW region. He has also worked for Aspect Computing, IBM and an emerging technology company in Asia as CEO.
