3 Mobile entices SMBs with new mobile phone plans for ‘tough times’

IT Industry - Deals

3 Mobile has brought out a range of new mobile phone plans especially for small to medium sized businesses which 3 says will help them in the current economic climate to streamline their administration and squeeze maximum value from their existing spend.

Announcing its “new and improved” range of business shared cap plans for Australian small and medium businesses, 3 claimed that the new business shared caps incorporate 20 percent more value for customers with increased cap inclusions, a range of new ‘add on’ features and, for the first time, access to shared mobile broadband as part of the cap plan.

“In the current economic climate small businesses are looking for new ways to streamline their administration and squeeze maximum value from their existing spend,” said Michael Cheshire, general manager of business sales at 3.

“3’s new and improved business shared caps are designed to allow them to do just that, radically simplifying the way they manage multiple users and their variable mobile and data spend per month. This saves both time and money, while at the same time offering a greater sense of control and flexibility in how mobile spend is managed across the business.“

Cheshire says, for example, that the entry level $199 plan allows up to 4 services to share $1,200 worth of cap value across the business per month, and with the cap value spread across the fleet of users, SMBs can eliminate wasted credit from light users and decrease the anxiety associated with overspend from heavy users.

In its various plans released today, 3 says there are nine new business shared cap plans that range from $199 per month with four users connected, to $2,499 per month with up to 60 users connected.

“There’s also a range of optional add-on features offered to 3 customers which gives them the ability to triple their free ‘3 to 3’ calling minutes each month and access free voicemail services or access unlimited email on 3,” says Cheshire.

Cheshire also says that to help businesses manage their accounts more easily, account holders receive a single bill each month, itemised for up to 60 services connected to the one Shared Cap plan, and they can also track spend using 3’s online account management tool  ‘My 3’ by logging in via a laptop or their 3 mobile.
