Garry McGrechan, LogiCamms director and general manager, Western Australia, said the myDIALS system was evaluated along with two other solutions before myDIALS was chosen.
McGrechan said LogiCamms required a performance reporting management solution in order to gain real time visibility into the operation and performance of its customers’ remotely located reclaimers, stackers and shiploaders operating in Australian mines and ports. Specifically, myDIALS would monitor key performance metrics indicators for tonnage reclaimed, as well as reclaimer efficiency and availability, the percentage of time spent on air digging and reclaim rates.
“The decision to choose myDIALS followed a review in which two other solutions were evaluated but myDIALS’ Western Australian partner, OPX Solutions, secured the contract based on the solution’s technical features and capability, ease and speed of deployment, and cost-effective SaaS-based implementation.”
And, McGrechan said that as myDIALS provided LogiCamms with a SaaS-based approach, the company didn’t need to purchase new hardware which would reduce the project’s overall costs while ensuring deployment in a matter of a few weeks.
“myDIALS will enable us to proactively manage the operating performance of our equipment wherever it is located and compare the data against industry best practice, while at the same time providing us with the ability to maximise the productivity and efficiency of our customers’ business.”
Specifically, myDIALS will monitor key performance metrics indicators for tonnage reclaimed, as well as reclaimer efficiency and availability, the percentage of time spent on air digging and reclaim rates.
McGrechan said that in recent years LogiCamms has completed work for organisations including Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal, Pilbara Iron, BHP Iron Ore and BMA, and had also completed projects in China, Laos and Tanzania.
A spokesman for myDIALS said the company offered organisations the first performance management solution to effectively link and immediately present operations and business metrics as they changed.
According to the spokesman, the myDIALS software surpassed the capabilities of current dashboard technology and provided an alternative to costly and resource-intensive business intelligence systems by placing the ability to visualise and analyse key performance indicators (KPI) directly in the hands of decision makers.
