Software AG is launching AlignSpace, which it says is the first and largest social network for business process management (BPM) professionals in the market.
Stuart Rees, vice president Australia and New Zealand for Software AG, said today that AlignSpace will enable Australian businesses to benefit from true collaboration among virtual teams of experts, resulting in smoother cooperation on BPM projects across enterprise borders.
“Using our social networking tool will significantly help businesses more efficiently manage BPM programs by enabling colleagues to share experiences, better resolving issues and limiting work duplication.”
Rees said the functionality of AlginSpace included social networking, collaborative process discovery and modelling, and a marketplace for system integrators, consultants and application developers.
“It offers collaboration between all project participants in a business process environment, enabling all data, documents and services produced within that environment to be made available and reusable within or across company borders.”
Rees also said the system could be easily plugged-in to other leading social networks.
According to Rees, by launching AlignSpace, Software AG was establishing the largest cross-company, process-centric community of BPM professionals.
“The new product exploits proven web-based social networking technologies and provides a platform within enterprises to drive collaboration for accelerated business process discovery, modelling and management. AlignSpace will be offered as a fully hosted, Software-as-a-Service offering and all functionality will be accessible via the browser.
“AlignSpace assures that a process represents a holistic view of the organisation and synchronises information for all decision-makers. Process improvement projects will now be faster to implement, more closely aligned with business visions, endorsed by all stakeholders and supported by the collective knowledge of the community,” Rees concluded.
Software AG says AlignSpace is now available as a closed beta version and for more information, or to join the community or beta test group, you will need to visit www.alignspace.com
