Ablett, who will be based in Melbourne, said there were signs of real momentum for Juniper in the Australian enterprise market, with Juniper currently serving six of Australia’s top 10 companies and leading the SSL VPN, core routing and broadband remote access server (BRAS) segments.
“My role is to build on that position to help our enterprise customers enable fast, reliable, and secure access to enterprise applications and services over a single network.”
Shaun Page said Ablett’s 15 years of industry experience had given him an intimate understanding of the corporate marketplace and as Juniper’s southern region head for the last six months he had added strategic depth to the company’s position in the Australian market.
“His appointment strengthens the leadership team and will help us to continue building more profitable and secure high-performance networks for our customers,” Page added.
Prior to joining Juniper, Ablett spent seven years with SpectraLink, a US-based wireless VoIP vendor, where he established its Asian presence. He had previously worked for seven years at Telxon Australia.
