New logos for emergency phone numbers

New national logos have been produced for the 000 emergency telephone and 106 emergency text numbers.

Announcing the new logos, Attorney General Philip Ruddock said: "There are two variations of each of the logos, with new versions including internationally recognised symbols for ambulance, police and fire services below the 000 or 106 numbers. The Government has now also trade-marked the logos to prevent them potentially being misused and the public can expect to see them being promoted around the country as the old logos are replaced in the next few months."
