Mid-market ERP provider, Epicor Software Corporation, has won a deal to provide a manufacturing system for Nu-Con Engineering, a New Zealand manufacturer of precision valves for handling bulk dry food materials.
The Nu-Con Group employs 200 staff across bases in New Zealand, Australia, the US and South-East Asia, and specialises in the field of bulk solids materials handling, offering turnkey solutions and a full design, manufacturing, installation and start-up service in any part of the world.
Nu-Con will implement an 11 user license of Epicor's Vantage system within its Engineering division from its headquarters in Auckland in a program to improve global customer service by better scheduling delivery times and tracking job orders against progress and budget.
Previously manual-based shop floor job sheets will now be replaced and streamlined with on-line data capture enabling Nu-Con to provide its machine operators with accurate production management data while at the same time automatically processing daily order reports for management and allocating costs to the correct jobs across the company's operating locations on-line.
'As a global organisation with customers right across the world, we evaluated Epicor Vantage based on its return on investment, performance, scalability and ease of integration,' said Brian Day, managing director of Nu-Con Engineering. 'It was a natural fit for a mid-market enterprise like Nu-Con.'
