According to a report in The Australian, Telstra CEO, Sol Trujillo, will today present prime minister, John Howard, with a $5 billion plan to upgrade communications services for 95 percent of the population with fibre, wireless and satellite services. It said that Trujillo would seek Government funding for the project, and that Trujillo, outlining the plan to the Telstra board yesterday, had delivered a "stern message" that Australia was lagging in terms of investment, take up of broadband services pricing and capacity.
