Austar's half year revenue, EBITDA and profit rise

Austar has reported revenue for the half year to 30 June up 19 percent to $219.9 million, EBITDA up 43 percent to $61.6 million and a net profit of $17.9 million compared to a loss in the same half lat year of $1.2 million. Its advertising revenue grew 35 percent and it achieved a net gain of 16,444 subscribers taking its total to 514,450. ARPU was up 10 percent on a year ago. The company is planning to launch a personal digital recorder in 2006.
