VON Australia cancelled

We're not sure exactly when it happened but the Australian Voice On The Net conference, VON Australia, which was to have been run in Sydney next week (August 15-17) by Jeff Pulver has been quietly cancelled. Not just cancelled, but all traces of it removed from the organiser's web site. Its web address www.vonaustralia.com now goes to a page for an upcoming US VON conference, with no explanation or apology whatsoever. That's the beauty of the net, its so easy to rewrite history...and confuse anyone reading the umpteen other references to the event which can still be found via Google.
