UK education win for TechnologyOne

IT Industry - Deals

TechnologyOne has won a competitive tender to provide a University of London college with an integrated financials package.

The Institute of Education chose TechnologyOne ahead of a dozen alternatives, including Agresso, the market leader in the UK higher education market.

Implementation is scheduled to be complete by December 2008.

"The TechnologyOne solution met the functional requirements of the Institute, delivering integrated workflow and business intelligence," said Marcus McDonald, the Institute's deputy secretary corporate services.

"Its flexibility also meant that it was the best solution for our requirements as it can be tailored for our unique needs."

TechnologyOne regional director Joseph Slattery said "we had to take some unique steps throughout the tender process to demonstrate to IOE our long term commitment from the board down.

"We invited the IOE team to visit Australia to meet with Adrian Di Marco and the senior management team along with visiting four reference sites, including Bond and Canberra University.

"This had a direct impact on their conviction that we could deliver on our promises."
