Google launches open source hosting centre

Showing its support for the open source movement, search kingpin Google has launched a site for developers to host open source projects.

The new Google site intends to offer a serious challenge to the most popular open source project hosting sites, including SourceForge.net.

Reports say that Google's new site, which offers software storage and debugging facilities is attracting projects like ants to a sugar bowl.
