Cloud Services Feature
Cloud computing
has often been touted as the technology of the future. However, in Australia, where the vast majority of businesses fall into the small to medium range, the Cloud is the technology of right now.

The last thing SMEs need to worry about is capital expenditure on infrastructure for hardware and software, as well as the considerable cost of maintaining software compliance. The burgeoning market for Cloud Services has finally come into its own, with Australia leading the way in adoption.

A partnership between CA Technologies, Westcon, and radixcloud Australia will offer a cloud-based network performance management service.

Westcon will deliver the network performance management service using various CA Technology products, hosted on radixcloud's platform.

By using CA Application Delivery Analysis, CA Network Flow Analysis, CA Performance Management, and CA Unified Communications Monitor, among others, Westcon will be able to report to its customers how well their external and internal networks are performing, and where slowdowns in the network, data centre, server or application exist, company officials stated.

"This really is the sweet spot for our partnership with Westcon, given they are Cisco's largest global distributor," said Klasie Holtzhausen, senior director, Channel, CA Technologies Australia & New Zealand.

"Through Westcon's long engagement with Cisco, Westcon has been working with Cisco's partners to add value in areas that complement CA Technologies' portfolio, such as network infrastructure and data centre solutions."

Westcon Group managing director David Henderson said "This is the first time Westcon is distributing an IT service from the cloud. We see this as the future for us and are excited to be doing this with CA Technologies and radixcloud."

"radixcloud is excited about this three-way go-to-market strategy," said Damien Wilde, managing director, radixcloud Australia.

"I believe we've got the model right and I'm expecting significant growth for radixcloud from this initiative."
