The New Zealand Police Department has selected NZ-based global fleet management solutions provider, Imarda, as its preferred supplier of a cloud GPS vehicle tracking system for its fleet of vehicles across the country.

The deal, still subject to business case approval by the New Zealand Police Department, has the potential for implementation to over 3,000 police vehicles in New Zealand.

Imarda CEO Selwyn Pellett welcomed the company’s selection as the preferred supplier for the GPS Vehicle Tracking System.

According to Pellett, the New Zealand Police conducted a robust selection process, extensively evaluating 15 vendors to determine the most suitable Telematics solution provider for their requirements.

Pellet said the evaluation of each vendor looked at specific performance criteria, scalability, integration capability into existing business systems, future proofing, flexibility of technology, ability to provide future innovation, and references from existing customers.
