Platon and DataFlux join forces in Australia

The local operations of Platon and DataFlux are teaming to promote data quality initiatives in Australia.

Denmark-based information management consultancy Platon is working with US-based data management provider DataFlux to encourage data quality initiatives in Australia.

Data quality is about ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data throughout an organisation.

"We have aligned with DataFlux in this market because of the strength of their data management technology," said Platon Asia Pacific managing director Hish Fernando.

"We are already helping a number of large Australian corporations with key data quality projects and helping them identify a tailored approach to assessing their data problems. The market-leading DataFlux data quality, data integration and master data management technologies accelerate the identification of the problem, allowing the corporations to understand the root-causes and need for ongoing complementary activity such as data governance."

Saul Cunningham, managing director of DataFlux Australia and New Zealand, said "Australia's leading corporations are moving beyond the consideration phase when it comes to allocating funds to improve the quality of the data flowing in and around their four walls."
