Telstra fights back at VoIP with new plans for small business

Telstra has introduced a range of 'subscription' fixed line plans for businesses with less than 10 lines with a key feature being individual plans for each line. Register now to win a Canon EOS 500D "The new plans will help the majority of Australia's diverse small business sector control costs and also provide the flexibility to customise individual lines depending on their usage levels for local calls, STD calls and mobile calls." Group managing director Telstra business, Deena Shiff, said: "customer feedback indicated small businesses appreciated the cost certainty and simplicity of a subscription based pricing plan that allows access to untimed and unlimited call options by paying a simple monthly fee...Business people can also make decisions about which of their lines are being used a lot, and for what purposes - and adopt appropriate plans for each individual line." Options available through the BusinessLine Select range include 30c untimed STD calls for an additional monthly fee of $10 on top of the standard monthly access fee, or unlimited STD calls for an additional monthly fee of $30.00.
