New owner updates Interarchy E-mail

As expected, Nolobe, the new owner of the Interarchy file transfer and web site management tool, has released a new version shortly after acquiring the well-regarded Mac application.

In addition to bug fixes, Version 8.5 delivers a range of new and improved features. Some involve the user interface, others improve the functionality.

Support for AppleScript recording makes it easier for casual users to automate tasks, and the new Scripts menu makes it easier to activate those and other scripts.

Further automation is provided through the ability to chain file converters so multiple conversions are applied in one step, such as encoding and compression.

'Under the hood' changes include better handling of time zone and daylight saving changes, improved support for resolution independence (which will be important when Mac OS X 10.5 ships), and improved handling of ssl host key changes.

Interarchy 8.5 costs $US59.95 for a single-seat licence. Volume licensing is available. Upgrades from 8.x are free, or $US29.95 from earlier versions.{moscomment}
