Why the single price? Because, as suspected, there will initially be only the one model, the 60GB Wi-Fi enabled model with the 20GB model to follow later in the year, which, to quote the press release, “[is] dependent on demand”. David Reeves, President of SCEE said, “Following the hugely successful launches of PS3 in Japan and North America, we are absolutely delighted to be able to bring significant numbers of PS3 to the SCEE territories. To be able to launch with over 30 titles across every genre shows that this is our strongest launch line-up in the history of PlayStation, and is what PlayStation fans in Europe have been crying out for.” The announcement boasts 30 launch title on disc from a range of developers, this, obviously includes North American and Japan Launch titles Resistance: Fall of Man™, MotorStorm™, Genji™: Days of the Blade, and Ridge Racer™ 7. It does also include up coming titles such as FORMULA ONE CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION. The PlayStation network will also be available from day one in the PAL territories allowing download of further content.{moscomment} |
