The runaway PC and Console hit Half-Life 2 has already spawned an excellent Episode One. Since the cliff hanging ending, players have been waiting for the second episode to hit our digital shores.
Valve is a company that produce excellent and compelling game content. Half-Life 2 if a case in point, providing a break through engine that took players into a realistic world both for multi and single player experiences.
The world of City 17 was engrossing and tantalizing whilst still delivering on action. Episode One added to the story and complexity and left us wanting more.
No we don’t have release dates for Episode Two, but we have information on the packages that Episode Two will be sold as. IGN Australia is reporting on the information from Valve. They come in two packs.
The Black Box is only available on PC and includes Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2. It retails for A$39.99.
Team Fortress 2 is the long awaited (although cartoon style) class based multiplayer blast fest. Portal, on the other hand is a single player puzzle game centred around the use of a “Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device” used for creating portals between different locations.
The Orange Box is available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and includes Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episodes One and Two, Portal and Team Fortress. It retails for a modest A$59.99.
Nice to have an option for those people yet to immerse themselves into the Haz suit of Gordon Freeman as he battles the Combine.
