Oracle flaws hit area 51, half in database |

While users moan about the number of flaws Microsoft patches each month, Oracle released a whopping 51 patches for the quarter preceding January, 26 of which were related to the company's flagship database product. The frightening thing is that this was a relatively bug free quarter.
In October 2006, Oracle issued 101 patches for
vulnerabilities identified in its quarterly Critical Patch Update cycle.
Aside from vulnerabilities in its database, Oracle identified flaws in
its PeopleSoft and J D Edwards enterprise applications suites, as well
as Enterprise Manageruite, Application Server and E-Business
