ShoreTel has nominally been represented here since April 2006 when it announced New Zealand based Connector Systems as a distributor for Australia and New Zealand. It claimed at the time that this appointment underscored its "commitment to the distribution channel model abroad as well as at home," saying: "Channel partners have played a crucial role in ShoreTel's success." "ShoreTel has experienced strong interest from Downunder, so we know Connector Systems will be critical in driving reseller business through those regions," said John W Combs, president and CEO of ShoreTel. "This agreement immediately benefits our mutual customers by combining two powerful tools-Connector Systems' proven distribution reach and ShoreTel's capability in delivering cast-iron reliability into VoIP networks." ShoreTel Australia declined to comment on Connectors' role in advance of its formal launch scheduled for23 January. However iTWire's investigations into Connector were not re-assuring. |
