Panel win foreshadows stirling success for Editure

UK-based Netmedia Education has gained a place on the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency's Learning Platform Services Framework (LPSF), and this could bring a significant boost to an Australian software developer's existing export success.

Netmedia is a partner of Melbourne-based Editure, a developer of education software, and it has joined nine other key technology providers to UK schools, colleges and local authorities.

Kim Ford, CEO of Editure, said "The UK public education market is worth several billion Australian dollars. In effect, through our partner, Netmedia, we are now on the shortlist for every relevant British local authority, school or college learning platform contract. That’s a remarkable opportunity and represents a dramatic increase in our ambition."

Netmedia will sell a suite called MyGrid4Learning, which integrates its own portal and applications with Editure's Learning Platform software.

Learning Platform is already used by 7000 schools and over 3 million students and teachers in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States.{moscomment}
