Samsung's OneDRAM super RAM promises to significantly boost the
performance of portable gadgets by fusing two types of RAM on the one
memory chip.

OneDRAM increases five-fold the speed of data processing between the CPUs for communications and for media. It also reduces power consumption by 30 percent and reduces the number of chips required - promising longer battery life and slimmer devices. Samsung announced the development of 512MB, 133MHz OneDRAM stick at the 2006 International Electron Devices meeting in San Francisco.
