It would seem that Nintendo has seen how powerful the Australian gamer can be, and has clandestinely altered the maligned "wii-mote" wrist strap for - at least - the Down Under version of the new game console. Featured Whitepaper

Kotaku is showing a side-by-side comparison of the Wii gaming consoles' apparently rather flimsy wrist strap - showing that a thicker version is being sold in the Australian and presumably European market. This comes after numerous reports of the strap breaking during game play with the new revolutionary controller. Vigorous play has been leading to all sorts of claims of injury and damage as the original strap has been unable to take the strain of excited new Wii owners. It would seem that without to much in the way of announcement - Nintendo have done the right thing and listened to their loyal customers and fan-base. Will the new thickness (looks to be at least three times the original) be enough during a frenzied Red Steel session? We will wait and see before taking the bubble wrap off the Plasma TV. {moscomment} |
