Science DiscussionsDiscovery's seven astronauts were already onboard, with the hatch sealed about two hours before the planned launch. The shuttle was still good to go even 90 minutes before launch, after clouds above Kennedy Space Center were deemed to be moving just high enough to allow for a launch. With only 30 minutes to go, the sky over the launch pad was ruled too cloudy and the launch was aborted.
Tomorrow's weather forecast is worse than today's and NASA is not expected to attempt a launch until Saturday.{moscomment} |
