The arrival of version 6 will see a further drop in the memory footprint. "Right now only Symantec uses more, we think," he joked. The single user version of Norman Security 6.0 is currently available as a free technical preview. Other changes include a rewritten firewall that generates fewer messages and an improved user interface that caters for "office users" as well as experts. That version will go on sale "by the end of the first quarter [of 2007] to be sure," said Zwienenberg, and will be followed by the corporate version.{moscomment} |
