ASUSTeK Computer (ASUS), the world's largest manufacturer of PC motherboards is bundling an adaptor with two of its motherboards that enables a standard analogue phone to be used as a Skype handset, via Skype software on the PC, or as PSTN phone. A more fully featured adaptor can be purchased on its own.

The TeleSky adaptor is designed for installation within the PC case. It connects to the PC via an internal USB connection and has an external lead for the analogue phone line and an RJ11 socket for the handset. It is sold bundled with the M2 and P5B motherboards as the M2N/TeleSky and P5B/TeleSky motherboard bundles. Also included are 60 minutes of SkypeOut calls.

For those who don't want to buy a motherboard, a similar product is available, the TA-CP400, which has the additional ability to offer ASUS voicemail.

Both devices enable the analogue phone to be used to control Skype functions including SkypeIn, SkypeOut, Skype Conference, call waiting, speed-dial, and 3-way telephoning.{moscomment}
