The decision to integrate NEC’s Australian operations was taken in response to the rapid changes occurring in the Australian ICT market, in particular the growth of broadband, IP telephony and wireless communications, according to the Japanese electronics giant. NEC Australia believes it will be able to improve cost structures and increase its effectiveness as a supplier of integrated voice and data solutions toward promotion of long-term growth through joint business opportunities and increased efficiencies. “The integrating of these NEC operations will strenghten our product and solutions portfolio immensely, putting us in a unique position to offer our diverse customer base integrated end-to-end solutions, reducing integration and installation timeframes considerably,” said Toshiharu Iwasa, Managing Director of NEC Business Solutions and NEC Australia. |
