It is a competitive world out there, for many gamers this is the attraction.  In the shadow of World of Warcraft an Australian team is developing a next generation Massive Multiplayer Online game to hit the competitive cyber world.  Welcome to the world of Fury.

The Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) realm of video gaming can be a big cash cow for those companies willing to take the risk.  Beginning with Ultima Online, but hitting its financial stride with Sony Entertainment's Everquest, everybody in the industry sat up and took notice.

Blizzard is the current king with close to Six million people currently playing World of Warcraft.  They will follow up this success early next year with the first expansion The Burning Crusade to further hook in their dedicated, if not addicted, players.

Busily beavering away on MMO projects are some big names in the business with big licensed products to hopefully steal away some of Blizzards action.  Relatively soon we will have choices ranging from the worlds of Conan the Barbarian, to Middle Earth Online (Lord of the Rings) and Warhammer Online.fury screenshot 6

In Brisbane Australia, Developer Auran are also producing a MMO game, but this one is different from the Role Play pack described above.  How? Check page 2.
