M-Networks Releases Long-Awaited Call Control Software E-mail
Wednesday, 08 November 2006
Bloomfield, NJ, Nov. 6, 2006 – Companies that have forgone the traditional PBX route in favor of lower cost alternatives can now finally realize the functionality of their more expensive counterparts. New Jersey based M-Networks released the full version of their call control software today that allows users to control the functions of their desk phone from their PC.

As companies struggle to communicate better both internally and with the world at large, the M-Networks Unified Call Control Gateway allows users to initiate and terminate calls, place and retrieve them from hold, forward and deflect calls all with a click of a mouse.“The Unified Call Control Gateway is just one of a series of steps M-Networks will take to help businesses to better communicate and share information” said William Mandra, President and Chief Software Developer of M-Networks. “Improving the way applications interact is the core of unified communications, and this software goes a long way to fulfilling that business need.”The Unified Call Control Gateway functions as an intermediary that allows the Microsoft Live Communications Server and the free, open source Asterisk PBX to communicate. In addition to remote call control, the software provides for PC to phone calling that allows users to use their computer as a phone.

For companies who are contemplating a change in their voice communications network, a trial version of the software is available for download.“Employing a PBX system can be a daunting task for small and medium sized businesses” said Mikael Carlson, the Vice President of Operations at M-Networks. “We provide full support to customers when they are deploying our software as well as consulting services to help organizations implement cost effective voice communications solutions.”The Unified Call Control Gateway is available from the M-Networks website at www.m-networks.com and is available for US $499.
