VoIP telephony software developer, Integrated Research (ASX:IRI), has released a new suite of shrink wrap products designed to manage VoIP deployments in multi-site, branch-office organisations such as banks, finance and insurance organizations, retailers, hospitals, travel agents and educational institutions. The PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Express suite of products is designed to enable organisations to deploy VoIP across branches without requiring specialist technical personnel on site at each branch. The demand for VoIP in distributed organizations is expanding rapidly - in particular retailers and banks have now realized the benefits of leveraging their existing data network infrastructure to accommodate voice. This has created a situation where were monitoring voice, data, and their interdependencies, said Kailem Anderson, product manager, IRI. While PROGNOSIS provides a simplified view at the branch-office level, it also offers serious, in-depth problem identification and drill-down diagnostic capabilities, allowing distributed VoIP deployments to be monitored and managed via a centralized network operations centre, or by a managed service provider. said Anderson. |
