Out of the Ashes of E3, Gaming expos are on the rise.  Later this Month Melbourne will host the inaugural eGames & Entertainment Expo.  Will it be the vanguard of a spectacular showcasing of Games and Gadgets?

From the 17th to 19th of November, the place to finally try out a Wii for yourself, three weeks before its official launch, will be at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Itwire.com.au will be there from the Friday nights industry only preview through to the weekend's 'open to all comers' promised extravaganza.

Amongst a range of offerings, punters can expect to experience such delights as driving simulators linked head to head using the drool worthy Logitech G25 force feedback racing wheels.

Gadgets wise, jump into a full flight cockpit, check out the Vortex 3D gaming/entertainment console, Intel's Core2Duo PCs or why not try whacking a TrackIR on your cranium to enable hands-free view control in first person games? Talk about virtual reality!

Speaking of games, you'll finally get a chance to play with Brisbane's Auran developed RPG Fury, and get a taste of the highly anticipated Gears Of War for the XBOX 360.

There will also be panels featuring speakers from Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo as well as luminaries from Australia's gaming industry.

You can find our more info and at the egames website.   Let's hope it is something that takes off in this country.  If you cannot make it, bummer, we will let you know how it goes!{moscomment}
